The Client
Heifer International is an Arkansas-based nonprofit organization with a mission to end hunger throughout the world by equipping people in developing countries with the tools and education to feed themselves and their families for life.
The Challenge
Heifer came to Softwyre and had a need for a rapid turn around desktop application for managing and reporting on projects worldwide. They had an Access database that was corrupt and failing, and the data was bad in the system.
The Solution
In less than three months, Softwyre created a desktop application that allowed Heifer to meet all of their needs quickly and with minimal training. It tracked where projects were, the animals and activities going on at those locations, the families at those locations and the impact the projects were having over time.
